At Fitawrari Gebre Hiwot W/Hawariyat Secondary School (FGHWHS), strategic partnerships strengthen our academic programs, expand experiential learning opportunities, and provide access to advanced resources. These collaborations allow our students to gain exposure to STEM, environmental research, and digital innovation.
FGHWHS partners with the Debo Mehal Meda Learning Center, a charitable organization founded by Dr. Ayalnesh Belete, a professor at the University of California. Every Saturday and Sunday, Fitawrari students attend Debo’s STEM programs, which include robotics, science labs, and computer labs. Together, FGHWHS and Debo organize an annual science fair, provide access to tutoring, and maintain a shared library. This partnership empowers students to explore science, technology, and research beyond the classroom.
FGHWHS collaborates with the Frankfurt Zoological Society, an international conservation organization founded in 1858. Through this partnership, students participate in environmental research, field trips, and conservation initiatives in Guassa Park. These hands-on experiences develop environmental stewardship and scientific inquiry among our learners.
BD Software, an American educational company, supports FGHWHS with digital resources, laboratory equipment, infrastructure improvements, and specialized computer teachers. This collaboration ensures students have access to state-of-the-art technology and modern learning tools, enhancing their academic and practical skills.
These partnerships exemplify FGHWHS’s commitment to combining rigorous academics with real-world experience, preparing students for leadership in science, technology, and community engagement.
